The Arcade is Australia's first not-for-profit, collaborative workspace created specifically for game developers and creative companies using game methodologies and technologies.
Established in September 2013, The Arcade has come to epitomise the value of a collaborative work environment in which knowledge is shared freely and residents have a genuine care for those around them.
The Arcade provides SME accommodation at arguably one of the best prices in the Melbourne. It's a not for profit space! We can do that.
The Arcade also offers meeting rooms, wifi access, full kitchen facilities (including 3 group head coffee machine) and a communal lunch area for residents.
Most importantly, The Arcade is home to some of the nicest and most talented people you're ever likely to meet.
Come join our community of creatives and work in The Arcade! We have currently have Offices available on level 2, These spaces will go quickly so don't hesitate to book in a tour today. We also have Desk spaces in our open plan area which includes access to our wifi network, meeting rooms, kitchens and lunch area. Working in The Arcade gives you the chance to meet fellow developers and make contacts with vital people in the industry. The Arcade hosts seminar and workshop sessions for the benefit of companies in the Victorian games industry. These events are presented by independent, external advisors, Arcade patrons and international guests on topics such as skills development, planning, business intelligence and marketing. The purpose is to provide support and encourage growth of small game development companies by giving them access to relevant information, services and technology that would benefit their businesses. Our address is 164 Kings Way, South Melbourne VIC 3205. The easiest way to reach us is via the 58 tram which travels down Williams Street and Kings Way. Stop 117 - York St is only a minute walk from our front door. Paid parking is available on Tope Street, South Melbourne at $17 per day.
